The Challenge
As a huge climate control supplier, Itho Daalderop needs a complete technological boost moving forward with their it department restructuring. The organization needs to replace its old drupal website, implement a new tool to estimate the right product needed for clients and furthermore implement a variety of web applications with its partners. The website replacement would need a full CMS system behind it, which would also require another data layer to synchronize all the data. The application or tool would need to quickly estimate the propper product with a quotation and notify the sales department.
The Solution
This project was split up into 3 parts and different phases that are still ongoing. The first part is the data layer, second the website and lastly the tool. All solutions would be realised using the Betty Blocks platform. For the first project data is synched from all the sources onto the data layer and then everything is requested from this layer. After this the data is displayed on the Website which has a CMS to display the loaded data. On other side the tool is used to collect new clients and make quotations.
Responsibilities
My responsibilities within the project were the following:
- Structure and CMS design.
- Lead developer for the tool
- Collecting requirements tool.
- Setting up the back-end for the tool and website.
- Development and deployment of the front-end for the website and tool.
